Hey, everyone how is it going?  I know I haven’t posted here in a while and it has been because of my busy schedule at work.  However, I wanted to give you all a quick update as to how my first lead gen site is going.  I haven’t been able to put a lot of time into for the reason stated above, but I am currently sitting at the top of page 2 for a few keywords and this is a huge success for me.  I am in the talks who a business owner who is interested and I could potentially start getting paid soon.  I always knew it was possible, but I didn’t know I could do it with so little time and effort.  I honestly have put probably a total of 10 hours into this project and I could start seeing a return soon.  On top of that, the business owner also has a friend who might be interested in my services.  This could be huge.  If I get a referral on my first client, I would be over the moon excited.  Fingers crossed and some more work, I will be on my way to a better life.  Stay tuned!!!!!!!!

Hello All.  I think it is a good time to summarize the entire local lead generation craze.  As we discussed in earlier posts, unique and original content is the name of the game.  Just like any other site, your homepage is probably the most important page of your website.  It is the generally the first page any of your visitors will and see and it must be able to keep your visitors interested enough to stay and explore your site.  It is very important to “kill” them with content on your homepage.  This will accomplish a few different goals. Those goals are as follows:

• Google Loves Unique Content – this will get you ranked higher in Google
• Keywords-because you add more content to your homepage you can obviously add more keywords and then rank for more searches
• Visitor Experience – the name of the game is lead generation so the best way to generate leads is by providing authoritative content to your users

Some things you should also consider is placement of your phone number and contact form.  Obviously, the goal is to generate leads so you need to give your visitors every opportunity to become a lead.  You should have a contact form on every page and your phone number should be displayed throughout your site.  I know this all can be a bit much to take in so I decided to search and find a good example.  Here is a perfect example: http://www.partybuswpb.com/

Hello, everyone.  Today we are going to go a little more in-depth on local lead generation so you can get started on your passive income generators.  Yes, it is one of the only “true” forms of passive income.  As we discussed earlier, a lead generation site will continue to produce years into the future if you take the time to set it up correctly.  The great thing is if you set it up correctly you really don’t have to do much to maintain the site.  So put in the work early and rake in the benefits for years to come.

How do you build a successful lead gen site? A lead gen site is really no different than any other site you want to get traffic to.  The foundation to any site you want to rank well is to have unique, original, and authoritative content.  Google’s job is to provide the most relevant results for its users and the way they do that is by scanning sites and looking for what site best answers the search.  If you site answers many of the questions that a user is searching for then Google is going to rank your site highly because they are confident it will ensure a great user experience.  However, unique content is not the only thing that will help your site.  Social acceptance is a big deal in Google’s eyes.  Google wants to see other authoritative sites linking to yours.  This does two things: 1) makes your site look legitimate to Google and 2) it tells Google that other sites are accepting you as an authority on the topic.  Another key to a good lead gen site is showing up in the “map pack” for your keyword searches.  This can only be done with a Google My Business (GMB) page.  When you register your business with Google they will send you a verification code which alone for your listing to show up in the map pack.  Many users look for a business that is close and will look to the map pack for a nearby business.  You need to treat your GMB page like a website and hit it with unique and authoritative content and photos.  Citations can also be used to push your GMB page up in the map pack.

So what is Local Lead Generation?  Local Lead Generation (LLG) is basically helping small local businesses get my clients and ultimately make more money.  This is a widely untapped niche in the internet universe and can tremendously profitable if you are dedicated enough to go out and learn and prospect.  Let’s face it, most small business owners are focused on making sure their doors stay open for one more day and they just don’t have time to worry about their website or anything SEO related.  Unfortunately, if they would spend more time on their internet real estate, the rest of the stuff would probably take care of themselves.

What does this mean for you?  It means get up and learn how to fill a need in the marketplace.  If you can successfully bring in leads for a small business they will pay you nicely because you are keeping their doors open.  Often times, these local markets are easy to beat too.  All you have to do is post original, authoritative content and do some minor backlinking and boom.  The great thing about LLG is that once you get it producing, it becomes a mostly passive source of income.  Passive Income is the Dream.  Nothing beats waking up knowing you can literally do nothing and still make money that day.  The freedom to go on a vacation and know you’re still making money can not be overrated.

Moral of the story is invest in yourself and learn a skill that will solve a problem in the marketplace.  Some famous guy once said, “Don’t bring your problems to the market, bring solutions”. Do exactly that and you will eat for a lifetime.
